DRAMA AND YO-YO MINISTRY

The King's Yomen present a unique program combining drama and yo-yo skills that has proved captivating and compelling to all ages. Children are fascinated by their yo-yo skills, youth will identify with their testimonies, and their humor and entertaining performance can be enjoyed by adults and kids alike. The yo-yo is unique because every generation can identify with it. The Yomen push this skill to the next level, creating an exciting program that can be enjoyed by all.

Their Program

Through their skits and testimonies the Yomen share the gospel of Christ and biblical wisdom tailored to the audience. They have performed across the country in churches, camps, youth groups, schools and special events for 10 years. Most of their routines and skits are done to music (with the yo-yo of course) creating a dramatic/entertaining effect that simply can't be seen anywhere else.

A typical program beings with a demonstration of tricks. Next, the Yomen perform one of their signature yo-yo/dramatic skits. After the skit they discuss the Biblical ideas illustrated in the drama. The show continues by interspersing fun routines, volunteer tricks, skits, explanations, and testimonies. In everything Christ is central.

Easy and Flexible

Most of the routines and skits are 5 minuets long. A show can last from 20 minutes to over an hour by adding and removing segments. The Yomen are easy to accommodate, needing only one microphone (if a sound system is necessary) and a little bit of space. On their side, there is minimal setup so they are easy to move from one room to another if necessary. The Yomen have performed at parks, in parades, under tents, during church, in parking lots, on trailers, in gymnasiums, at campgrounds, in banquet halls, on city sidewalks, in storefronts, and for crowds ranging from 20 to 3000.
